Polished silver through the hair. A sculptural headband designed around you.

Polished chrome, a fluid curve, and a more personal idea of jewelry.
Flagship / In developmentExplore LaceThe Mantis point of view
Something you reach for. Something that feels like you. We’re creating personal objects where the body, jewelry, and a little intelligence meet.
Mantis Halo / Flagship
Polished metal woven through the hair.
A sculptural edge catching the light.

Halo is our EEG headband, shaped to become part of the way you wear your hair. A flexible spine follows the form; the outside stays sculptural and understated.
Replaceable contacts are designed to reach through the hair. The result is an intimate object with a more intricate world beneath its surface.
A LiDAR depth camera is part of the design, intended to map nearby space and support precise object localization.
Prototype in development. Physical fit and localization accuracy remain to be validated.

Halo’s B4 design brings together an Intan RHD2216 front end, an nRF5340 wireless controller, a digital microphone, and a VL53L9CX LiDAR depth camera. Three rigid sections are joined by flexible copper connections.
The VL53L9CX uses direct time-of-flight sensing to produce depth and infrared imagery, with up to 54 × 42 depth zones. Halo is being developed to use this data for precise object localization; localization software and accuracy still require validation. Sensor reference ↗
Sixteen signal contacts, four regional reference contacts, and one body contact use replaceable tips. Conductive rubber formulations, contact pressure, runtime, and sensing performance remain under development. Halo is a research prototype, not a medical device.
Mantis Lace / Flagship
A polished chrome arc, imagined along the collarbone.
Fluid on the outside. Personal at its heart.

The necklace is designed to house the electronics within a jewelry-inspired form. A fine lead connects it to one small attachment, keeping the silhouette calm and continuous.
Lace explores voice sensing through contact with the body. The neck and crescent-earpiece studies offer two expressions of the same polished chrome language.
Design in development. Fit and voice performance are still being explored.
The current form studies explore neck and ear attachments combining contact voice sensing with separate stimulation research. Electronics are at the bench-prototype stage; on-body use, whisper intelligibility, and wearer-only recording have not been validated. These renderings show the intended exterior.
SOMETHING PERSONAL.
