MantisBRAND FIELD GUIDE / 01

Closer.
By design.

Jewelry, with feeling. Halo and Lace are the two Mantis flagships: equal in prominence, personal in expression. Mantis starts with desire, form, and a personal relationship to the body. Let the object lead; let its intelligence remain a quieter discovery.

01 / The mark

Mantis primary wordmark
Mantis folded M symbol

The folded M combines an open headband arc, two antenna-like peaks, and a central signal notch. Its symmetry gives the system an anchor; the product’s asymmetric curves provide the counterpoint. Use the solid master for identification, and reserve metallic or distorted treatments for larger expressive moments.

Keep clear space of at least one-quarter of the symbol height. Use the symbol at 24 px or larger. Keep the primary symbol solid and unstretched. Outlined echoes and stacked wordmarks belong to expressive fabric prints; keep the solid masthead master readable alongside them. The supplied wordmarks use vector outlines and do not require installed fonts.

Ink purple grounds the page. Citron highlights an invitation or a line of editorial type. Pale pistachio gives the Lace chapter a fresh counterpoint; use dark violet text on that light ground. Silver, violet reflections, and one rose fabric keep a sensual material range. Reserve transparency for controls with clear text and a fine refractive rim. Reflected silver is a moving material treatment, not a background for reading.

03 / TYPOGRAPHY

Precise, with feeling.

Space Grotesk 500–600 for expressive headlines and product names. DM Sans 400–500 for reading. Georgia, a system serif, supplies a few italic editorial accents. Use tight but clear headline spacing, generous body leading, and sparse uppercase catalog details. Body text begins at 16 px; controls at 14 px.

04 / MOTION

Move like light.

Open with three independently waving Citron, Rose, and Violet fabrics, carrying English, French, and Simplified Chinese Mantis prints. Scroll adds a passing gust; dragging bends a fold. Holocloth’s MIT-licensed solver powers the installation, with original per-vertex wind forces and bounded recovery. Use glass refraction, fine bezels and pointer glints for supporting controls. Keep its copyright and license with source distributions. Keep reading text stable; print graphics may bend with the cloth. The previous portrait dithering and moving light live only in Halo’s “On you” gallery. Product motion should explain the object: dissolve hair, reveal contacts, then remove the shell. The liquid-glass.js MIT runtime by Deepika Rao supplies bounded control refraction in Chromium; Safari/Firefox receive a crisp CSS fallback. Preserve its license with source distributions. Honor reduced motion and keep pause controls within reach.

05 / IMAGERY

Cloth, then closeness.

The opening is an abstract fabric installation; introduce Halo and Lace together immediately after it. Within Halo’s product chapter, use deliberate cyberpunk animation: inked hair, graphic facial planes, polished silver surfaces, and dark concealed contacts. Let hair conceal the mechanism. Give Halo and Lace a shared sleek metallic exterior. Preserve the actual B4 geometry in standalone product renders and technical views; retain dark sensor windows and compliant contact tips. Keep subjects sharp inside clear editorial frames. Lace uses the current chrome-arc and crescent-earpiece concept renders, with full-study links. Give Halo and Lace equal image scale, three-view galleries, and matching enquiry actions. Digit belongs in a quieter concept role. Keep the anatomical explorer small and optional; lead with jewelry and the wearer. Avoid full-scene blur, broad glow, and soft image masks. Use the anatomical model when explaining the design. Campaign imagery is conceptual and must not be mistaken for proof of fit or a manufactured product. Halo’s LiDAR camera supports the development of spatial sensing; precise object localization remains a goal until validated in the assembly.

06 / VOICE

Specific. Curious. Human.

Lead with feeling, material, and the way an object is worn. Keep technical labels and specifications in supporting details. Speak about the body without promising to decode a person. Describe what is built, what is being explored, and what remains a concept. Avoid unverified clinical, runtime, weight, and availability claims.
